 The explaination of pultrusion technique
During the pultrusion process, the raw material are pulled through a heated steel forming die using a continuous pulling
device. when the reinforcements are saturated with the resin mixture in the resin bath and the wetted reinforcement
package is wrapped in a surfacing veil. the completed package then goes into a performer that roughly forms the
package into the appropriate shape to enter the heated die for curing. the die is the exact shape of the final part desired.
upon exiting the die, the part is over 90% cured and solid. the length of the part required is pulled through the cutoff
saw and the process is complete.

The introduction of FRP
FRP stands for fiber-reinforced plastic or fiber-reinforced polymer.  FRP is comprised of a designated polymer that has been reinforced with fibers. Fiber compositions are typically glass, carbon, or aramid based while the polymer is usually an epoxy, vinyl ester, or polyester thermoset. FRP specifically employs the fiber material to mechanically enhance the strength of the original resin (also referred to as the matrix). The extent to which strength is achieved in fiber reinforced plastics is dependent upon the mechanical properties of both the fiber and the matrix, their concentrations relative to one another, as well as the fiber length and orientation/direction within the matrix.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Thermoset Processing
 Advantages
 1. Processing of thermoset composites is much easier because the initial resin system is in the liquid state.
 2. Fibers are easy to wet with thermosets, thus voids and porosities are less.
 3. Heat and pressure requirements are less in the processing of thermoset composites than thermoplastic composites, thus providing energy savings.
 4. A simple low-cost tooling system can be used to process
 Disadvantages
1.Thermoset composite processing requires a lengthy cure time and thus results in lower production rates thanthermoplastics.
2.Once cured and solidified, thermoset composite parts cannot be reformed to obtain other shapes.
3.Recycling of thermoset composites is an issue.

There are a variety of forming processes by which reinforcing fiber material is combined with the matrix in order to yield a fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) shape. Such processes include bladder molding, compression molding, autoclave/vacuum bag, mandrel wrapping, wet layup, chopper gun, filament winding, and pultrusion. Pultrusion shall be the focus of this article as it has become the manufacturing process method of choice for fiber reinforced plastics here at Craftech Industries.
