Maintenance of Universal Drive Device of Manual pallet Truck
 Manual pallet universal transmission device is mainly used in the two axes do not coincide, and in the operation of the manual pallet truck, the power transmission between the axles which constantly change the relative position. It is used in pallet trucks with heavy loads, the connection between transmission and drive axle, and the connection between engine and oil pump of manual pallet trucks. The universal transmission device of manual pallet truck is composed of universal joint fork and cross shaft assembly. Its function is to transfer the power of transmission to the main reducer. The transmission shaft has high transmission torque, high speed and heavy work.Therefore, although its structure is not complex, but the technical requirements are very high. Otherwise, there will be shaking, sounding, shedding and axle breaking.            

Manual pallet universal transmission device should not be tight, bolts are tightened, assembly angle is correct, lubrication is good, no vibration, no noise. Therefore, in the use of pallet trucks, the maintenance of transmission shafts should be done carefully, and the problems found must be dealt with in time.            

 During the driving of a pallet truck, the transmission shaft bears a great deal of torque and impact load, and rotates at a high speed, accompanied by continuous vibration. Its lubrication condition is poor, so it is prone to wear, deformation and damage, which leads to abnormal work, abnormal noise and chattering and other faults. When the pallet truck starts, if the body trembles, accompanied by a slight impact sound; while driving, it can also hear a periodic sound of the chassis, the faster the speed, the louder the sound. In severe cases, the cab vibrates, grips the steering wheel and feels numb. The reasons are: the cross axle of universal joint and the needle are worn loose or the needle is broken; the fixed screw of each connection is loosened. Bending deformation of  transmission shaft, etc. When encountering the above-mentioned faults, you can go to the bottom of the car to check whether the connecting screw is loose or not, and shake the transmission shaft by hand, then you can detect the worn parts; the rear wheel is mounted and the gear is rotated to observe the vibration and abnormal noise of the transmission shaft; you can also test the  deformation of the transmission shaft with the automobile micrometer, and repair it separately after finding out the reasons.            

 Once the dynamic balance state of the transmission shaft assembly is destroyed, it will be subjected to additional dynamic load caused by centrifugal force in work, which will easily cause bending deformation, vibration and noise of the transmission shaft, increase dynamic load, reduce transmission efficiency and accelerate the damage of parts. Accidental impact of transmission shaft in use, knock deformation during disassembly and assembly, damage of position accuracy of parts after surfacing, etc., will deviate the rotating mass center of transmission shaft assembly from the rotating axis and destroy its balance performance. When maintaining, it is necessary to add grease to the cross  bearing; when checking whether the cross bearing is loose, hang the transmission in neutral, loosen the parking brake, hold the transmission shaft  tube tightly with both hands, and rotate sharply from left to right. There  should be no obvious looseness. When necessary, disassemble and repair. When the transmission shaft is maintained, it is necessary to check whether the fastener is fixed firmly, the appearance and curvature of the transmission shaft, and repair it if necessary. Before assembling and repairing the transmission shaft, it is necessary to clean its components, especially the oil passage, journal and needle roller bearings of the cross shaft. Clean kerosene should be used to wash and dry with compressed air. The fitting surface is coated with grease, and the fitting mark is then repaired. After the universal joint is assembled and restored, it should rotate flexibly without obvious clearance, and there should be no hairpin phenomenon.
