In the process of material handling with a EOT crane, the proposal of the crane manufacturer is very important and must be followed their  advice to carry out preventive maintenance procedures.  The machine should be checked daily. This is what the operator  should do every day after using the crane. All cranes and cranes that must be used before the start of each shift must be included. The employer needs to check and sign the checklist every day, so that workers can check the crane effectively.  Crane operators carry out daily safety checks after using cranes every day or before each shift. First of all, the trained operator and the authorized crane should be selected. The operator should ensure that all the safety devices exist and are in use.

 When a crane operator starts a preliminary equipment inspection, she or he must check the area around the crane. After preliminary inspection, the operator can contact the crane control.
 The first step of the inspection equipment is to check the crane, the trolley, the bridge, the runway, or the electrical system to see if they have such problems as loosening, breakage, or damage to the parts.
 The second step is to see if there is a wire rope in the drum and whether the wire rope has been rolled up.
 The third step is to check whether two different lengths of wire rope are in contact with each other, which may cause distortion of the bottom block.
 The fourth step is to check the power supply housing and see if they are touching or approaching to ensure their safety.
 The fifth step is to check the casing to make sure there is no wire falling out of it.
 The sixth step is to verify the buttons of the pendants to ensure that they are not damaged or cracked, and the parts are torn and lost.
 The EOT crane itself also needs to be checked to see if it has a potential fault or a potential safety hazard, which is what can be done after the initial equipment is tested in the crane area.
 The daily safety inspection of the power system
 When the button is released, make sure that the button returns to the closed position automatically. To do this, make sure that the buttons  are not sticky under the condition of smooth operation.
 The crane warning device works normally after the button is turned on. And whether the upper and lower limit switches work normally to ensure that the buttons are pushed up when the hook rises.
 Not only is the upward button, but also the buttons to control the crane running in other directions must be kept under normal control.
 Besides buttons, hooks are also cranes that require routine inspection. Once the hook wears more than 10%, it needs to be replaced. The visible hook nut must be tightly fastened and locked on the hook, which ensures that the hook has absolute flexibility. Finally, the crooked, twisted and cracked hooks and safety bolts must be carefully examined.
 The routine safety inspection method for wire rope and load key is to walk 360 degrees through the hook block, so that the wire rope and load  chain can be checked. The wire rope must ensure that there is no wear reduction, no breakage of wires and other damage. The inspection contents of  the load chain include no cracks or trench corrosion in all links, so as to ensure its smooth operation.
 Last but not least, it is the daily check of other miscellaneous items. These inspections play a key role in the normal operation of electric bridges and tramcar brakes. First of all, check whether the tram can operate normally. If it can not run normally, check whether the hook is drifting when the control is released in the upward or downward position. Once there are loose items or oil leakage on the crane. Use the fire extinguisher at once. The  working state of the air or hydraulic line should also be carefully examined.
